Setting up Wellesley House for amateur radio
Matt Payne and John Hislop helped to set up antennas for VHF, UHF and HF at the school. A bracket has been fixed so that an HF antenna can be mounted.
Club Buildathon 2016
Club members held a Buildathon to make a radio kit during a Saturday morning. The photo shows Bob Fidler assisting Phil Challans and Steve Brett with their construction. The project satisfies the practical requirement for the Intermediate licence.
Exam successes
There was success too for two pupils, Benny and Ethan, who took their examination for the amateur radio foundation licence. They had already passed the practical assessment and had to pass the theory test which can be very challenging. Demonstration of 3D printer
Bob Fidler brought along the 3D printer which he built from a kit. Members were very impressed with the demonstration and Bob presented the club President Charles Taylor with a special key fob.
