The Mills on the Air team

To highlight the wonderful heritage of windmills around the country amateur radio enthusiasts set up special event radio stations on National Mills weekend. The Hilderstone radio club set up theirs at the beautiful White Mill in Sandwich using the special call sign GB2WM. We were in the tiny Miller’s cottage with the antenna strung from the top of the windmill and managed to make several contacts with other windmills around the country.
