To the Moon and back!

Not satisfied with making amateur radio contacts in the normal way Peter Weatherall G3MLO decided to take his hobby one step further - to use the Moon to reflect his signals back to Earth! At Thursday’s club meeting Peter explained how he had to make special amplifiers and a huge array of antennas for the signal to make a return trip of half of a million miles. He managed to communicate with stations all over the world.

Peter now contents himself with using overflying planes to reflect his signals.
