Training @ G0HRS
We have run three foundation courses this year with 8 students who all passed the foundation exam, nobody who took the exam has failed; and we currently have three students enrolled on the current foundation course.
We have run one Intermediate course with three of the past foundation members gone on to do the Intermediate course which is currently ongoing.
Nick Parker is on the advanced course and is receiving one to one tuition as and when he needs it.
Training continues at Wellesley House and is expected to produce a number of Foundation licence holders in the coming years.
The Training Google group has been populated with useful links to resources on training, and I post pictures and videos on Facebook on topics I hope everybody will find interesting.
The G0HRS Website
I have been working on the club website I have
- Added some more content in the Contact Us
- With a Google Map to Crampton Tower.
- A description of when the meetings are and what goes on, and where to park etc.
- I continue to keep the diary up-to-date as much as possible.
- I have added last year’s Calendar as well as putting this year’s calendar on the top menu.
- I have added a section ‘club projects’, and added the ARDF Transmitters.
- I have updated the software and made the site mobile compatible using Google’s test site.
- I have added the data required to allow us to be searched on Google with some suggestions from other club members.
- I have installed an automatic backup product, so the whole site is backed up weekly into the Cloud.
- I have customised the Logon screen so it is clear you are logging into G0HRS.
- I have added a link on the front page to our Facebook page, and Google groups.
- I have edited the top banner and added some images and the RSGB logo to it.
- I have added a page that lists the committee members.
