ARES clubs week one

ARES = Amateur Radio, Electronics and Space.
Two clubs have been set up - one at Wellesley House school and one at River Primary school in Dover.
The Electronics will be using the Arduino starter kit from Utronix (https://www.utronix.co.uk/) with extra electronics components.

Measuring current

In the first week they investigated the amount of current that flows through your body. The dangers of electricity were emphasised. With the help of saliva a current of 1mA will flow but only 0.1mA flows through your body, from hand to hand. It only needs 20mA to kill you!

Then they set up a circuit with an LED and were introduced to the breadboard and push button switch.
